The person is referred to as bald, 5-feet-10 tall, roughly 195 pounds and 45 to 55 years of age.
A chrome-domed crook scammed $60,000 price of iPhones from the Chelsea Apple Store, where cops believe the crook might have an insider tip him off and away to the store’s operations.
Police, who released footage from the suspect early Friday, believe the suspect had prior understanding of how pick-ups are handled at the shop.
Apple phones range in cost from $349 to $999, with respect to the model.
Then, he told an outlet worker he would be a messenger who had been there for pick-up. The worker paid three boxes full of iPhones worth roughly $58,000. He fled in the store inside a white-colored Ford van, police stated.
The person comfortably strolled in to the store near Ninth Avenue and West 14th Street soon after 9 a.m. on Sept. 14, police stated.
