OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A 61-year-old man sitting behind the Louisville dugout in the College World Series sustained a small cut to his mind as he was struck with a bat that travelled from a player’s hands Sunday.

Burke Perry of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is at the 2nd row when Louisville’s Josh Stowers lost grip of his bat because he thrown in a pitch against Texas A&ampM to finish the 3rd inning. Perry stated he saw the bat coming but couldn’t get taken care of.

Perry had in regards to a 2-inch cut on top of his mind. He stated the bat “just skimmed me.”

Nearby fans applied towels to Perry’s mind. Medics escorted him to some first-aid station, and that he came back to his seat together with his boy a couple of minutes later.
