Lawmakers on Monday formally sent the balance (Senate bill 8-A) to Scott, that has stated he’ll sign it into law.
The constitutional amendment gives medical officials until This summer 3 to craft rules to apply the amendment and until March. 3 to place the guidelines into effect.
Underneath the suggested rule printed Friday, the Department of Health seems to become lounging the research for that new law, which establishes numerous regulatory guidelines.
The most recent suggested rule came because the Department of Health awaits Gov. Ron Scott’s signature of the medical-marijuana bill adopted by lawmakers throughout a special session this month. That bill addressed major issues, for example the number of companies receive marijuana licenses and the number of stores they are able to run.
The Home and Senate approved the balance throughout the special session after coming under fire for neglecting to pass a regulatory measure throughout the regular session that ended at the start of May.
