Wildlife biologist Joe Wasilewski told the newspaper that Florida really wants to puppy nip the issue in the bud before it will get unmanageable because it is on the majority of Caribbean islands.
As the iguanas will be in Florida because the 1960s, FWC exotic species coordinator Kristin Sommers states there’s been a noted rise in “human conflicts.”
“FWC can’t get out there and remove everybody’s iguanas. That’s simply not possible,” Sommers told the newspaper.
