Former Illinois basketball signee Jeremiah Tilmon was arrested Friday morning for having alcohol with a minor, based on College of Missouri police.
Tilmon, presently rated No. 40th across the country by 247sports, would be a highly searched for after recruit and initially composed a star studded Type of 2017 recruiting class for that Illini before he yet others opted out when Illinois hired new coach Kaira Underwood.
He grew to become a part of a powerful Missouri recruiting class under Tigers’ new coach Cuonzo Martin.
He was launched on Friday.
Tilmon, a high-rated 6-feet-10 recruit from East St. Louis, was launched in April from his national letter of intent in the Illini following the firing of former coach John Groce. Many Illini fans had wished he’d still attend the college despite a training change, but he chosen Missouri which must now learn how to handle this early off-the-court trouble.
Tilmon was arrested after being stopped near campus by College of Missouri police for any lane breach, Missouri police major John Weimer stated. A police officer smelled alcohol inside Tilmon’s vehicle and determined he’d been consuming, police stated.
He wasn’t determined too intoxicated they are driving, speculate Tilmon is underneath the legal consuming chronilogical age of 21 he is able to be reported under Missouri law while he was visibly intoxicated.
