OMAHA, Neb.  — Twelve roses simply weren’t enough for any Nebraska man who wanted “to make a move special” for his wife to celebrate her last chemotherapy treatment. So, he elevated money and surprised her with 500.

“To make this happen I privately sent a text to many of Alissa’s buddies and family. I requested them that helped me to surprise her by showering her in roses during her last treatment. I arranged for the local florist to accept orders. Each rose was bought for $10.00 with all the proceeds being donated to Susan G. Komen towards cancer of the breast research. I had been amazed once the orders began moving in! We rapidly arrived at 100 roses, then 300 roses, then 400. Whenever we arrived at 500 roses I told the florist to prevent ordering roses and let all of the remaining orders go entirely towards the Susan G. Komen donation. Together over 170 families desired to purchase roses so we wound up raising over $4500 for cancer of the breast research. The florist placed the roses in 36 vases after which insert them in 6 small wicker baskets. Alissa’s two teen aged kids and 4 close buddies (Also known as Alissa’s Crew) made the delivery.”
