A Jihadist Salafi group in Gaza known as the Al-Tawheed Brigades – which doesn’t heed the phone call in the enclave’s dominant pressure, Hamas, to desist from firing rockets – claimed responsibility for that launches.
“In reaction to … projectiles fired at Israel during the day … an IDF tank as well as an IAF aircraft targeted two military posts within the Gaza Strip. The IDF holds Hamas accountable for the hostile activity perpetrated against Israel in the Gaza Strip,” a military statement stated.
Gaza residents stated there have been no casualties in the Israeli attack which two unmanned lookout posts were hit.
Throughout the Gaza war in 2014, Israel’s Iron Dome rocket interceptor system largely protected the country’s heartland from a large number of rocket barrages fired by militants.
