Master’s Academy basketball point guard Jose Placer dedicated to NCAA D-I College of Maryland Baltimore County on ‘life was imple’ after taking the official visit that permitted him much more time than initially expected to look into the school and Baltimore.
Master’s coach Reggie Kohn stated Placer and the family were not able to fly to Orlando as scheduled because of Hurricane Irma’s arrival. They’d flights canceled on Saturday and Tuesday and wound up renting a vehicle on Wednesday and driving back.
“They really loved the college, to ensure that some of it went well,” Kohn stated. “I know three from the (coaches) within the company there perfectly. It’s an excellent fit for Jose.”
Placer, a 6-feet-2 senior, averaged 19.7 points and 5.7 assists per game last season. He would be a second-team Sentinel All-Area pick.
