The Nationals’ Ryan Zimmerman has guaranteed themself just a little bit of franchise history.
Time put him towards the top of the franchise’s homer list, with Zimmerman surpassing Vladimir Guerrero, who hit his homers for that Montreal Expos. The Expos gone to live in D.C. prior to the 2005 season, Zimmerman’s rookie year.
Guerrero does not appear too sad, though. He required to Twitter to congratulate Zimmerman around the task immediately after it happened.
The very first baseman smashed a house run within the first inning of Monday’s game from the Reds, which marked his 235th career homer.
Zimmerman is within his 13th season using the Nationals. In seven of individuals seasons (including that one), he’s blasted 20 or even more home runs.
