Details were scarce, but airport terminal officials stated the “prohibited items” were unintentionally permitted in to the terminal around 3 p.m.
The airport terminal stated passengers appeared to be rescreened, “but you will find a lot of passengers waiting to become re-screened.”
By 4:30 p.m., the airport terminal announced that delays as high as two hrs were in play as the search and re-screenings are conducted. The airport terminal tweeted the following carriers could be affected: Aeromexico Air Canada, Air China, ANA, some Alaska, American, ANA, Delta, Hawaiian, JetBlue, U . s ., Volaris.
Inside a tweet having a 5:30 p.m. update, the airport terminal stated “Checked baggage was unintentionally introduced into Term. A. As precaution, airport terminal staff conducted security check of terminal.”
