The lady, who had been not immediately identified, faced the 2 armed men once they joined her Harris County home with an open garage doors around 11:30 a.m., WTSP reported.
A 60-year-old Texas lady wasn’t taking a chance Monday morning when she heard two intruders enter her home, grabbing her pistol and shooting among the would-be thieves dead, police stated.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s spokesman Thomas Gilliland told WTSP that both intruders — neither who were identified — were equipped with pistols once the lady faced them. She fired several shots and struck a minumum of one man, who collapsed and died in her own yard.
Police found a gun near the dead man’s body. His accomplice leaped within the fence and steered clear of, though it’s unclear if he was wounded within the incident.
“It’s the condition of Texas. If you are going to enter someone’s home, you’re getting shot,” Hanks stated.
Information still searching for that second burglar, referred to as a guy in the 20s who had been putting on dark clothing with red under garments peeking from his pants.
Cathy Hanks, a neighbor, stated it isn’t surprising the lady fired her pistol when she saw a danger in her own home, explaining: “That’s really the way we are. That’s just Texas.”
The lady wasn’t hurt within the incident. She didn’t know the intruders, WTSP reported.
