It requires lots of sources to construct a season of classical music greatness through the Taos Chamber Group. Now, it’s time for you to acknowledge that support. Nancy Laupheimer, TCMG’s executive director, has announced the group’s 25th anniversary season “Contributors Thanks Concert” and reception, planned Sunday (August. 13), 7 p.m., at the house of Suzanne and Bob Brock in Taos.

In The month of january, TCMG presents worldwide flute performance artist Claire Chase with what is referred to as “a mind-blowing show” which will include works lately written on her. February’s “Storm & Stillness” program explores the strength of music to illustrate natural world. April’s annual “Play it Forward” concerts, by which TCMG features more youthful musicians, showcase the astounding abilities of 17-year-old violinist and Santa Fe native Phoenix Avalon. Memorial Day weekend brings an encore performance by multiple cellists, a TCMG favorite this time will feature four “Cello Chicks!”
Movies around the Eco-friendly spotlights Music from Angel Fire
Before the brand new series formally launches, TCMG will show an around-the-world, mixed bag of musical styles this Sunday done by Laupheimer, pianist Kim Bakkum and guitarist Omar Rane. The annual “Contributors Thanks Concert” is going to be adopted with a Q&A and reception and it is free for contributors of $100 or even more towards the 25th season.
