GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Four College of North Dakota hockey recruits along with a sophomore were selected within the recent National hockey league draft.

Jost may be the greatest-drafted UND player since Jonathan Toews (tayvs) went third overall to Chicago in the year 2006.

Three other UND recruits also were drafted. Mitchell Mattson visited Calgary within the fifth round, at No. 126. Peter Thome was taken by Columbus within the sixth round, at No. 155. Collin Adams was selected through the New You are able to Islanders within the sixth round, at No. 170.

Tyson Jost was drawn in the very first round, tenth overall, by Colorado. Jost lately was named Hockey Canada’s Canadian Junior Hockey League National Player of the season. He’ll join UND within the fall.

UND sophomore Rhett Gardner was taken by Dallas within the 4th round, at No. 116.
