Sheriff County Office spokesman Cook Joseph Joseph told the Chicago Tribune that Desiree Figueroa, 25, gave birth to November 1 at John H. Stroger Hospital Jr. She has been in custody since May, when she and her mother, Clarisa Figueroa, were arrested and charged when Marlen Ochoa-Lopez died 19 years of age.
Desiree Figueroa was sent back to prison since, reported the Chicago Sun-Times. Additional information was not immediately available.
Prosecutors said that Clarisa Figueroa, 46, Ochoa-Lopez lay to her house in Chicago South West in April after meeting with a Facebook group aimed at young mothers.
The authorities said that Figueroas supported Ochoa-Lopez and cut her baby from her. Clarisa Figueroa 911 later claimed to make a false claim to a child who was not breathing her, the investigators said. Subsequent tests confirmed that the son of a newborn son was Ochoa-Lopez.
The baby, named Yovanny Jadiel Lopez, died in June on a serious brain injury.
The two figuratives were cut on one count of first instance murder, aggravated kidnapping, human body disaffection and the death of homicide. They pleaded not guilty to the charges on 26 June, the Tribune reported.
Clarisa boy Figueroa, Piotr Bobak, 40 years of age, was arrested and charged with a single count of concealment of homicide. He also pleaded not guilty, according to WTTW.
