As a Rams struggle, John McVay's reputation takes the coach

Not long ago – about 2018 – Sean McVay was toast the caller of NFL, wunderkind coach and kid whiz on his way to guide his team to the Super Bowl.

A year later, Sean McVay is trying to keep the Rams teetering from a playoff controversy.

This could happen if they lost Chicago Bears on Sunday in the Coliseum.

The story is much different than last season, when the Rams won their first eight games on the way to the second title of NFC West in a row.

They enter a Sunday game with a 5-4 record and a distant view of the first place San Francisco 49ers and taking up Seattle Seahawks in the division.

“I'd love to say that this wasn't even more challenging,” said McVay. “But also why is there encouragement to make sure that you do it right and that this is used as an opportunity to try and respond to how you will challenge your players and everyone else.

“You want to make sure that you are taking these things into account too.” T

McVay, 33, was considered one of the most dynamic and innovative callers during his first two seasons.

That reputation is striking.

The highly empowered proportion is declining. The unit did not score Pittsburgh Steelers last week on 17-12. A further three were committed by Jarter Goff Quarterback. The star receiver Cooper Kupp did not pass. Star running back Gur Gurley had no contact with the ball in the fourth quarter.

So, the famous singer, McVay, didn't look at the part.

He hoped that day would come.

“Sure,” he said. “It's an exciting game.” T

Rams players, however, said that McVay did not change his behavior or approach. He remained consistent while he was trying to produce a positive positive result.

“That dude is steady,” said Goff.

Defenseman Aaron Aaron said: “Coach coach. Same thing. "

More than a month has passed since McVay came forward with the Coliseum.

The October 13 defeat at the San Francisco 49ers extended the Rams' losing streak to three games, taking its season about to drop potential. The Rams launched a mini-rally and broke the Atlanta Falcons and the Europes Cincinnati during an extended road trip. But after the Steelers have been hit in Pittsburgh, they go back in a very precarious state.

And with a line of injured attacks that Goff must defend from one of the most aggressive defenses of the NFL.

Left Handling Andrew Whitworth, pro 14 years, is the only Rams line man with more than a few game of NFL experience at his job. Rookie tack Bobby Evans could begin with firstly against Khalil Mack, a $ 141-million exterior back-liner of Bears, who was the NFL 2016 defensive player.

“Just get it out of your head over,” said Evans. “You must execute it. This comes to prepare and make your mind right. ”

Rams will be without a receiver of Brandin Cooks, who will sit a second game in a row from contests. The absence of cooks enabled the Steelers to stop double team and stop Kupp.

“We just have to make plays and make plays,” said Goff, “and it starts with me.” T

Although the game at Colombium, and 4-5 is the beloved team, it is expected that fans of bears will come into effect.

“He really does every game away,” said Bears coach, Matt Nagy, for the support, adding, “Trust you, when you're on the road, you respect him! that and you understand it. ”

B & # 39 Travelers at Carn may not reach the level seen when the Green Bay Packers played at the Coliseum last season, but the Rams are preparing for a significant vote.

“If they want the noise, give the man, we must handle it,” said the vice-line Rams, Samson Ebukam. “As long as it's an electric atmosphere, I don't care.” T

The Rams went to a non-verbal snap count at Colombian when other fans become too high. This might happen again Sunday.

“We won't be surprised,” said McVay, “but we are hopeful that our fans will show up, and are excited about being back home.”
