WhileeFootball, the new name of the flagship games license Pro Evolution Soccer, was more than criticized for its design and its bad gameplay, the Japanese developer Konami released this Friday a press release which ended the last hopes of the fans to have a real game by the end of the calendar year. “We inform our players that update 1.0.0 for eFootball 2022, scheduled for release on November 11, 2021, has been postponed until spring 2022, Konami said. Also, we want to announce the cancellation and automatic refund of premium player packs, which include items that can only be used after the release of version 1.0. ”

The turn taken by eFootball has been completely missed and made fun of on the networks. In a period when the games FIFA EA Sports are far from at the top, the only real competitor got his feet in the carpet, and this new setback is likely to bring down eFootball into oblivion for good. The football community is still waiting for a recent game worthy of the name.
