Manama> Houthi drone-missile attack on Aramco oil plant in Ras Tanura port in eastern Saudi province and Aramco workers’ residence in Dhahran.
The attack took place on Sunday afternoon. Authorities said there were no casualties or damage in either attack.
The Houthis fired 12 drones and two ballistic missiles at various points from Yemen to Saudi Arabia on Sunday. One of the drones crashed into one of the oil storage yards in Ras Tanura. It is the largest oil supply port in the world. The drone strike came from the sea, the energy ministry said in a statement.
The drone and missile had destroyed the Saudi alliance. However, the Ministry of Defense confirmed that part of the destroyed ballistic missile had landed near the Aramco residential area.
The coalition says it has launched an attack on Houthi bases in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, on Sunday afternoon in retaliation for the Houthi attack. The news agency reported that another drone-missile attack on Saudi Arabia followed.
Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world have strongly condemned the Arako attack.
