WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – The conspiracy theory that Covid-19 leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, is said to be widely believed by US officials.
Based on reports CNN, now many officials support the notion that the virus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).
This theory was first floated by former president Donald Trump and a group of European scientists last year.

Even so, there are also US officials who believe this Covid-19 came naturally, transmitting from animals to humans.
Since it was first detected in December 2019, Covid-19 has infected nearly 190 million and killed 3.5 million people worldwide.
Even the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus indirectly acknowledged the Wuhan lab theory.

Speaking from Geneva, Dr Tedros called for China to be more cooperative and transparent.
He also requested that Beijing submit raw data before and during the pandemic, including data on WIV.
Tedros claimed there was a “push” for the theory that the corona virus leaked from WIV to be dismissed.

He refuted his own words in February that the leak theory could not be substantiated.
“I myself am a laboratory technician. I am an immunologist and often work in the lab. So accidents often happen. That’s normal,” he explained.
In May, President Joe Biden ordered intelligence to conduct a 90-day investigation into where Covid-19 came from.
Reported New York Post Saturday (17/7/2021), the investigation focused on whether Covid-19 appeared naturally or was a lab leak.

In April 2020, a U.S. State Department diplomatic cable voiced concerns about the Wuhan lab theory.
The cable reveals how US scientists were sent several times to “Panda Land” to investigate.
China has repeatedly denied the conspiracy, insisting the virus originated in animals and was transmitted to humans.
