The 12,000-year-old Turkish city of Hasankeyf condemned to disappear under an artificial lake


ARCHEOLOGY – Residents of the southeastern city of Turkey fear that their memories will be lost with the construction of the giant Ilisu dam, highly strategic for Ankara. The government rejects any criticism, arguing that most of the monuments have been sheltered.
