The Executive of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) has appointed this Sunday toSanna Marinas a training candidate to replaceAntti Rinne, also from the SDP, asFirst ministerof the country and at the head of the government coalition led by the Social Democrats.
Specifically, Marin has received 32 votes from the 61 members of the Executive for 29 of the other candidate,Antti Lindtman. Lindtman explained after his defeat that he will continue to be the parliamentary spokesperson for the SDP and has given his full support to Marin.
