Trump claims to hear news of body bags in Wuhan lab before China announces Covid-19 case

WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – Former US president Donald Trump claims he heard news that body bags were brought to a Wuhan lab before China announced its first Covid-19 case.

The 45th president in US history said Beijing’s “disgusting incompetence” caused the virus to escape the laboratory.

In an interview with Sky NewsTrump described how intelligence reports identified the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) as the main source of the coronavirus.

“Some of the reports are very confidential, I can’t really explain much. But, I can say, 95 percent came from the Wuhan lab,” he said.

“I don’t know if they have bad intentions or pure disgusting incompetence. What is clear is that they came from Wuhan,” Trump continued.

The 75-year-old former president said he started hearing stories about body bags being piled up outside the laboratory.

Reported The Sun Tuesday (21/9/2021), Melania’s husband admitted that he had heard the information for a long time.

“If they did, collect the body bags, wouldn’t this be a small indication?” he said.

Trump’s remarks came amid rumors that WIV researchers had developed a virus that was 1,000 times more potent.

The former Republican president said he was not sure if Covid-19 was deliberately leaked from the laboratory.

Donald Trump suspects his accidental nature. He analogized the researcher having lunch with his girlfriend, who later became infected.

“I think this stems from incompetence. The virus can spread and leak because of incompetence,” he said.

Former Covid-19 Investigator David Asher said it was possible China was developing their biological weapons ambitions.

But Trump, who served from 2017 to 2021, doesn’t think the coronavirus is a biological weapon.

“What is clear is that most of the evidence has now been lost. So it is difficult to find out what really happened,” he explained.
